Dr Rida Kherati is an FY1 doctor and a graduate from Bart’s and the London. She is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusivity and is driven to create meaningful changes in the healthcare system. Four years ago she co-founded The Empowerment Project to tackle discrimination within the NHS. The initiative focuses on integrating Active Bystander Training into medical education to equip healthcare professionals with tools to challenge bias and foster inclusive environments.
She is working to develop this innovation further through her involvement in the NHS Clinical Entrepreneurship Programme for the last year.
Rida’s professional aspirations are rooted in her love for paediatrics, this has been reflected through her role as President of the Paediatric Society and involvement in paediatric teaching initiatives during university.
